Exhibiting with Find a Maker at Made London

Exhibiting with Find a Maker at Made London

A couple of weeks ago I travelled to London to help set up our shared Find a Maker stand at Made London, In the iconic One Marylebone building.

I was so pleased to have been selected to exhibit alongside 11 other Find a Maker members.

The stand layout was curated by Sarah James, founder of Find a maker and also known for her wonderful events Craft Festival

I exhibited alongside Kate Clark, Penny Grace, Julia Clarke, Jennie Jackson, Bridget Lane, Stilwell Designs, Susi Hines, Mathieu Makes, Samantha Brian, Cubi Boxes, Treefall

The show ran all day Friday with an evening private view, then over the weekend on Saturday & Sunday. I was helping to set up and manning the stand alongside a few other makers on Thursday & Friday. I had such a great day getting to know some new makers and spending time with Sarah. The stand had a steady flow of visitors and there was a lot opportunity to talk to visitors about the work on display.

The great thing about taking part in big events like this is seeing the other makers. Over the years you get to know so many other creatives and these events are perfect for catching up with everyone. As creatives we mostly work alone from home or small shared studios so these opportunities to gather and meet are really appreciated.

The quality of the work on display on the Find a Maker stand was excellent, all the disciplines worked well together and reminded me of a craft gallery shop.
